I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Wren, and it proved to be a pleasant experience for both me and my dog. The property is easily accessible, with a straightforward check-in process; I simply emailed my arrival time, and the keys were waiting for me in the door. The surrounding national forest offered various hiking trails, which was great for stretching my legs and enjoying nature. Despite having mobility issues, I found the area quite accommodating for leisurely walks. With its cozy atmosphere, the annexe felt like a safe haven. It provided all the necessities for a short stay, including a kitchenette equipped with milk and biscuits-perfect for that late-night snack! Our time in Swadlincote was enjoyable, with easy access to local shops and a Starbucks. The Wren served as a lovely retreat for me and my furry companion, and I'd recommend it for families looking for a cozy getaway.
